That depends on the family..

• Hi! I think that your experience will depend very much on the family you're living with. I lived with a family in Caen/Normandy for a month and it was pretty horrible. Very conservative and close-minded people, and we didn't get along very well. However, I also know of a lot of people who got along very well with their families, so it all depends a little bit on your luck. Also, your chances of finding an open-minded family will probably be bigger in a big city like Paris then in the countrysite.
