Spanish or English?

En general Mexicans don´t speak English and they don´t like "gringos". Almoust nobody understands English, not even students. Some years ago it was worse. Even in the TV they didn`t know how to pronounce the English language (or they just didn't want to).
It might be different in tourist centers like Cancún o Acapulco, or near the border, but there they'll treat you like a tourist.
If you don't know Spanish you actually are lost. With some Spanish words you'll get to know a completely different México.Uli 30 Jun 2009, 01:07 - Report
