Travelling to cyprus

• I am a uk citizen, and my husband is a Gambian national. He is applying for an 'indefinate leave to remain' visa in March, after being in he UK for 2 years, which I am 99% certain he will get. However, we are looking to go to Cyprus in October for my sisters wedding and I wondered what he needs to do? I have just checked a website regarding 'shengan visa's', but it doesnt look like Cyprus are party to this agreement ?
