moving to portugal

• Another area worth looking at, if you are moving to Portugal, is Alto Alentejo. I lived near Portalegre for a year and found the people, both Portuguese and ex-pats (many from Kenya) all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Without speaking any Portuguese I successfully purchased a beautiful quinta with 15 acres of land which I ran with the help of family and friends that visited and also the help of WWOOFers. Sadly I had to return to Scotland leaving this idyll behind and currently return now and then just for working holiday breaks to maintain my property.
