website for foreign students in barcelona

  A Brighter Place is a site for students living in Barcelona. Basically, we're putting this announcement up on craigslist cuz we have noticed that there are lots and lots of americans coming to barcelona to study - and craigslist looks like a good place to start researching about the city.
  
  On the site, we have listings of bars, courses, student accommodation and basic city life. Don't expect tourist info. Or to find where the trendiest club where all the celebrities hang out. And where the most expensive restaurant is.
  
  Instead, you'll find local bars, hidden bars, cheap drinks, cheap tapas, etc. with photos and info. Stuff that your typical student needs to know to live 'on the cheap'... Also, there is info on (cheap) learn spanish courses, MBA courses taught in english and accomodation info - student residencies, housing agencies, message boards
  
  Also, we have an up-to-date events list. Again, it's not an event list for crappy, mtv overplayed bands. Instead, local Catalan bands or other indie events. It is not just events based on concerts, but also certain cultural events, movie nights or film festivals. Everything and anything that we personally feel is relevant to and appropriate for the site.
  
  Lately, we've finished the Barcelona iPod Travel Guide - basically, you can download this file onto your iPod and you won't ever need to walk around with a silly Lonely Planet guidebook in your hand no more.. (both for iPod 3G and 5G)
  
  So there you go, that's what the site is about. Roam about, surf the site, spread the word if you feel its helpful or diss us if u think we deserve it.
