Living cost & job chances

• Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could give me some tipps on a question: I'm thinking to move to Lyon where my fiance lives. He told me that he could cover our living cost in the beginning, but he is only earning 1800 Euros a month (he works as a waiter in a restaurant). I have a degree in Marketing and will look for a job once I'm there. However, my knowledge of French is still very limited, so it might take a while until I find something. Can we both live of 1800 Euros until I find a job? And how much French do I need to get a job? Also, I would appreciate any hints on how much I could expect to earn in France. Thanks a lot for you help!
