    Hi
My friend got her 4 kids there. It is a very good for why I heard, the standard is very hight and kids a pushed to the maximum. They also do quite long hours 8 to 4/5pm as they are doing 2 curriculum at the same time (England/Americain), the school is located in AMWAJ ISLANDS by the airport.

my children are in this school, frankly the reception ad administrator is quite rude , I don't fell the same way as in the other choueifat schools. My children didn't happy here, there are no one really care about what the kids need, my daughter is in Y1( in the other choueifat should be y2),she Never had book to bring back home , there is no weekly spelling quiz as the other do,( at least I am not aware of ).She was reading GIN books from the other choueifat school,as they don't buy this GIN book here.My son is prekg, each day they spend a lot of time on the Tv, which I can do it with him in home ( I wouldn't).

  • choueifat school, manama

    Its horrible!!

My son, in grade 2 hates Maths, for the sole reason of the teacher being aggressive and shouts at them!!! And inspite of all the additional recess classes that are being given to him and others, no difference in his result. till grade 1, he was a topper in Maths.
Requests for a meeting with AQC has never been replied.....and she is a very rude person for the one time that we had a chance to speak.
They are pressurizing the kids alot.
They cant managae to hold teachers for more than 6 months, will they be able to manage the running of the school for more than 6 years???

I am definately planning to take my kids out.

    Hi ,
I have two kids there in Gr 2& 5 & previously were in Sabis UAE & Lebanon before that ...
Just like the first two; our experience has been nothing but excellent . This is a serious system of education- for a change..... They actually have a system which i can not say was able to find in the other schools we visited when we were school shopping .They claim that they help kids to realize thier potential & they actually do !!! Plus they are a no no nonsense discipline system where time wasters are not tolerated. Let me cuation you though; they have been in the business for over 120 years & do not like being told what & how to do what they do best ...makes sense ..up to you to decide...its working beautifully for us

  • How to pick the right school...

Hi...we are relocating to Bahrain next year...that is the schoolastic year 2010-2011..and we have started doing our school shopping from now..i've been in bahrain the past week and visited 3 schools..Bayan, Naseem and Chuiefat..and to be honest with you i am lost..each school tells you that it is the nest in Bahrain....i am concerned about the Arabic language..we r coming from Jordan and the teaching the arabic in Jordan schools is excellent, my kids will be in grades 2,1 and KG1..and if they don't learn the arabic language now it will be so hard to do that later...plus i need a good environment for my kids to grow in away from the showing of and the very rich sick ppl if you now what i mean..so any schools you recommend?

    Hi Dima,

I have recently relocated from Ireland to Bharain. One of my daughters started going to Choueifat in this term and the other one will start next term.

I had to do a lot of hunting for the right school. Based on parents' feedback, you can kind of put the list of some of the better schools as below.

    Bahrain School
    St. Christopher's school
    British School of Bahrain
    Choueifat School
    Modern Knowledge School

This link will give you most of the information. It is a one stop shop happy

If you are concerned with the Arabic teaching, then Choueifat is your best choice.

For Bahrain School, St. Christopher's and BSB, your kids will probably end up on the waiting list.

    Hope this helps.

  • NO TO NASSEM!

    Hey Dima!

Well I have some advice since I have been to many schools in Bahrain.

My first school was The New Indian School- It was quite rigorous and gave me a good foundation.

Modern Knowledge School- No discipline, no education NOTHING. My friends who remain there are at such low educational levels. DEFINITELY A NO.

St. Christopher's School- I went there for a year, to be honest the Arabic wasn't THAT good but the school was AMAZING in terms of education and personal development. I was enrolled in clubs every day of the week. I am an overweight boy and still enrolled for gymnastics and the coaches there were very encouraging. I really respect this school. But you will probably be put on a waiting list.

Naseem- This is the school I graduated from. Honestly I didn't learn anything at all in this school except when I enrolled in the IB (International Baccaleurate) program, which is only for grade 11 and 12. This is a quality educational program and our class was the only class with brains in the whole school. Besides that it is HORRIBLE. No good activities what so ever.

    Hope this helps!
This is my experience as a student in these schools. Just so you have a little background, I just graduated from the American University in Cairo with high honors and the top of my major.
